The Barbados Reggae Festival has become one of the premier events in Barbados since its launch in 2004. The 2023 Reggae on The Beach is scheduled for Monday, May 1st, at Artistry Beach , Lower Bay Street, Barbados.

Barbados Events in May – Celtic Festival Barbados
The Barbados Celtic Festival is a music festival that started back in the 1990’s. It celebrates the cultural and historic links between the Celtic Countries of Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Nova Scotia, the Gallic regions in Europe and the sunny Caribbean island of Barbados.
This festival is a fantastic opportunity for you to experience and celebrate the linkages between these countries through the fusion of folk music and flavors of the various culinary delights. The 2023 festival take place on May 18th.

Barbados Events in May – Barbados Museum’s Heritage Concert
On Sunday, May 21 2023, the Walled Garden Theatre at the Barbados Museum & Historical Society will come alive with the soothing sounds of classical music. Join the museum from 6 pm for a night of music, food, drinks and a live auction as we kick off the Museum’s year-long 90th-anniversary celebrations with this first concert.
Proceeds from the auction will go to the restoration, preservation and maintenance of the partners involved.

Gospelfest is the Caribbean region’s premiere gospel music and arts festival.

This Masters Football Classic Tournament will take place from 26th to 29th May, 2023. It is one of the biggest Masters football tournaments in the Caribbean and will again be played in Barbados.

Barbados Events in May – Horse Racing
Horse racing continues at the historic Garrison Savannah with the staging of The Barbados Guineas the 1st Jewel in the Triple Crown. This will be the 73rd running of the Barbados Guineas. It will take place on Saturday, May the 27th.
The race will be the sixth race of the eight-card race day and will feature a high-quality field of West Indian-bred three-year-olds. Running a distance of 1570m the first Jewel in the Triple Crown gets going at approximately 4:25 pm, it features a purse of $35.000.
